orviden.online publishes consumer guidance about security software in English. It is small, it is funded by affiliate commission, and it says so at the top of every page.

Why the site exists

Security software is bought by people who are, reasonably, a little frightened — and it is sold in a market where the loudest claims travel furthest. A great deal of what is written about antivirus products online is the vendor's own copy rephrased, decorated with invented star ratings and statistics nobody measured.

We think there is room for something duller and more useful: pages that say what a product contains, what it leaves out, what independent laboratories actually measured, and when you should not buy it at all. That is the whole idea.

How we pay for it

By affiliate commission, and by nothing else. When a reader follows a partner link and buys, the seller pays us a share of the sale; the reader pays the same price either way. We run no display advertising, accept no sponsored articles and take no payment for favourable coverage.

That funding model has an obvious pull on editorial judgement, so rather than hide it we declare it in a bar at the top of every page, in a box beneath every headline, on every commercial button and in the footer. The editorial policy sets out the rules we work to and the things we refuse to do.

What makes this site unusual

• It collects nothing. No cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels, no browser storage, no third-party requests at all. The cookie policy shows you how to verify that in your own browser in about a minute.
• Every figure is attributed. If we cannot name the laboratory, the test and the period, we do not publish the number.
• Corrections are published, not buried. Substantive errors get a dated note on the page saying what was wrong.
• The diagrams are our own. Original SVG drawings, not screenshots or stock photographs.
• No invented readers. There are no testimonials on this site, because we have not collected any.
